Let’s Skate Around the Minor Arcana in Tarot

Girls skating

Are you ready? It’s not a race, but let’s skate around the Minor Arcana and get acquainted!

The Minor Arcana adds depth to the whole tarot experience, filling in the gaps that the Major Arcana hints at. It’s like having a more colourful story that really mirrors the ups and downs we go through in life while reading the cards.

The Minor Arcana is made up of 56 cards and splits into four suits, each one representing different parts of our everyday lives and experiences.

  • Each suit connects to specific elements: Cups are all about feelings and relationships, Wands are for action and ambition, Swords deal with thought and conflict, and Pentacles focus on the material side of things and staying grounded.
  • Within these suits, you’ll find numbered cards from Ace to Ten, plus some extra court cards—Page, Knight, Queen, and King—that give us deeper insights into the various situations and challenges we encounter.

Grasping these suits helps us see our personal journeys and the challenges we deal with in a whole new light, giving us a better understanding of ourselves and the crazy complexities of the world around us.

It sounds complicated, but it’s really simple once you simplify it. Just like I did with the Major Arcana, I’ll focus on one keyword: quite the challenge but here goes!

Remember, this is a quick overview of the Minor Arcana, similar to what I did with the Major Arcana before. The suit’s energy is the foundation of the Minor Arcana, with many layers to explorers well as their shadow side, but let’s stick to the basics for now.

If you’ve got any other keywords for the cards, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Until next episode, keep skating, there’s a ton of info out there to explore!
